The National Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC) Chief John Odigie Oyegun, yesterday denied making denigrating comment on the father of Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose.
Oyegun, in a media chat with select newsmen in Benin while reacting to Governor Fayose’s criticism of President Muhammadu Buhari’s trip to China, was reported to have accused Fayose of locking his father in the boot of his car.
The APC national chairman who described the comment credited to him as the figment of the imagination of the writer, said when national issues were discussed he never descend to personal attacks whatsoever.
Oyegun in the interview had stated “The journey of Mr. President, what makes me sad is that if there is anybody who does not recognise the fact that Nigeria has almost become a paralysed state, the fact we have not respect all over the world and the reality that every sector was grounded but APC won the election based on the personal credibility of President Muhammadu Buhari and the respect he commands not only in Nigeria but the world over”.
