A gubernatorial aspirant in Ekiti State on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Engr. Kayode Ojo, has said his political fate will not be determined by godfathers but the Ekiti State people in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state.
He, however, said he respects all political leaders in Ekiti and beyond.
Ojo made the declaration while chatting with journalists in Lagos, where he reeled out a number of areas he said would be the focus of his administration.
He lamented that Ekiti was currently bereft of a master plans to drive the economy of the state, hence the citizens were subjected to frivolities.
“Ekiti don’t have a master plan, you must first lay all the cards on the table. We can’t just be consuming, we have to produce our way out of poverty.
“It is not about me… I can’t forsake the people in Ekiti State. We need to use our initiatives; that is the basic thing Ekiti need,” he said.
