Kayode Fayemi has resigned his appointment as minister of mines and steel
– The minister allegedy resigned from office to focus on the Ekiti governorship election
Ahead of the 2018 gubernatorial election in Ekiti state, governorship aspirant, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has reportedly resigned from his position as the minister of mines and steel.
Fayemi reportedly tendered his resignation letter to President Muhammadu Buhari three weeks ago, but it officially takes effect from Wednesday, May 30, according to a report by Sahara Reporters.
Recall that Fayemi became the All Progressives Congress (APC) sole candidate after winning a rescheduled primary election on May 12, 2018.
