The Federal Government is to build 10 dams in Ekiti state within the next two years as part of its effort to improve agriculture in the state.
Minister of Agriculture Audu Ogbeh disclosed this in Ado Ekiti, the state capital during a meeting with farmers and relevant stakeholders in the agricultural sector.
He said the Federal Government is also doing all within its power to put an end to the menace of herdsmen.
On the issue on Fulani herdsmen, the minister said the Federal Government was working assiduously to put an end to the menace.
According to Governor Ayodele Fayose he wants the Federal Government to march words with action, saying his administration will provide all necessary support.
The governor added that his administration has also provided soft loans and lands for farmers in the state.
Ekiti state is the third state visited by Agric minster as part of its tour of southwest state to interact with farmers. (ChannelsTv)
