Ekiti State Governor has reaffirmed his love for people living with abilities in the state as he offered appointment to Olutayo Kehinde Mary, daughter of a deaf woman in Ijero-Ekiti.
The governor who also handed one hundred thousand naira cash to the woman to support her acceded to the request of the woman when she approached him at the meeting the governor had with teachers and Local government workers in Ijero Local Government.
The woman who could not hide her joy rolled severally on the floor to show her appreciation to God and the governor for the kind gestures.
Earlier in Ido-Osi Local Government, the governor also supported a teacher, Mr Olofinbiyi Olatunde whose house was gutted with fire with the sum of 250 thousand naira.
Mr Olatunde whose 4-bedroom bungalow was razed by fire on Sunday evening appreciated the governor for providing him a succor.
The governor while addressing workers in the two Local Government expressed his readiness to encourage people across the 16 Local governments to engage in peasant farming to ensure food security.
According to him, there will be farm land bank where people will be provided with lands and other support to engage in farming.
The governor noted that everyone must look inward to chart a way out of the current and impending economic downturn, emphasizing that he will never retrench workers nor reduce the N18,000 minimum wage as being speculated by some governors in the country.
Fayose attended to various issues bothering on salaries and welfare of workers and promised to establish a complaints bureau that will enable him attend to issues challenges confronting workers in regards to their salaries and welfare.
