Workers in Ekiti state yesterday received their payment for November 2015 salary. However it was also noted that some of the workers received the alert for two months (November and December) which was the cause for Jubilation at the state secretariat yesterday and our correspondence also confirm that.
Ekiti Workers Receive Two Months Salary
The workers has however debunk the payment saying they were only paid for the month of November. Some workers claimed they received the alert for the two months but it was later reversed.
The SA (Public Communications and New Media) made the following announcement this afternoon:
Attention of the State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has been drawn to the error committed by NIDSS, a Lagos based service provider that is responsible for the shooting of workers salary.
Instead of only November 2015 salary that should have been paid, the service provider erroneously shoot payment of TWO MONTHS salary into the accounts of some workers, most especially those in the Core Civil Service (MDAs).
To correct this error, the service provider reversed the transaction, and it is now in the process of correcting it by shooting only one month salary into the accounts of affected workers.
The governor wishes to plead with the affected workers to exercise patience, as he has been assured that payment of the November salary will be made into their accounts between today and Monday.
