The All Progressives Congress, APC, Monday expressed regrets over the issues that truncated the Ekiti governorship primaries of the Party during the weekend.
It was recalls that last Saturday’s APC governorship primaries was disrupted by thugs allegedly loyal to one of the aspirants.
Speaking to journalists in Abuja on the disrupted primary election, the National Publicity Secretary of the Party, Bolaji Abdullahi, said though the situation was regrettable, the contentious issues have been resolved.
He said: “the situation in Ekiti is regrettable.
“The issues have been resolved and it is our hope that the exercise can now continue where it stopped.
“The Primaries chairman has spoken to the National Chairman after consulting with the aspirants. The position is that the process should resume as quickly as possible.
“The issue of indefinite postponement does not arise.”
